Hooray For Corn Season !

We got quite a bit of rain from what I heard and felt throughout the night.  How would I feel it? well I was taking Portia out at 1 am, then Buddy decided he needed out, which is unusual, then what the heck I let Lexus out for good measure.  The rain had really been coming down hard at 1 am.  Bandit? he is a good old boy and just stayed put til our normal time at 6 am to get up.

After a full weekend of being busy busy busy, I had a difficult time of staying awake today.  I sure did not take a chance of driving more then I absolutely had to.

Today was spent doing as little as possible as I had barely any energy in my body.  My whole body was hurting, with my legs feeling like they were going to fall off when I had to walk.

Going in and out all day was a necessity with Portia, so there was no getting out of that.  I also managed to fold up the table clothes I had washed from the Family Reunion and got them put away.  I also made a trip into town to the Wiarton Home Building Centre to pickup an item.

Rob was pretty steady on and off all day, but nothing that blew him out of the water.  The damp rainy weather is also playing havoc on his arthritis, as it is on mine and the Fibro.  Such is Life at times.

Ha ! my friend Pari and I had a real laugh the other day when I had said, "I would rather live the way I am then be six feet under".  Better to laugh then cry at times, is it not?  Really I am grateful for what I have and what I am able to accomplish, regardless of wanting to get more done then I can manage to do.

Rob stopped at Lee Boy's Corn stand in Shallow Lake again today to get us some more corn for Dinner.  Hooray for Corn Season ! as ....

... we really take advantage to get it fresh as often as we can while it is in Season.  Rob LOVES it, and it pretty much goes good with every meal, except maybe Pasta dishes.  It went real well with our fish & salad this evening.

I think I will go spend lots of time trying to wear Portia out before it is bed time with hopes I do not have to go out with her before 6 am tomorrow morning.
